Penitentiary 2 DVD

This DVD is an example of movies made depicting Black people's struggle for equality after the social protests of the 1960s & into the '70s. Spoilers: The hero of this story is unjustly sent to prison, where he must prevail against "the system" and the (all Black) inmates hardened by it. Movie is categorized as in the Blaxploitation genre; and this can be seen especially in (fairly tame) scenes between a male & female inmate taking advantage of the 2 prison populations gathered for the boxing event. The hero also has an extremely coincidental (tame) scene with the woman, a "working girl" employed as a "prize" by the prison system, who had earlier given him a ride when he was hitch-hiking, & which ended in a brawl with White racists in a cafe.
